Absolutely in love with Lola’s Library onboard @virginvoyages #ResilientLady

It’s such a fantastic show that takes place over three chapters, so you can sit and watch a different chapter each night, or sit and watch the whole thing in one seating.

The cast are incredible and the action happens all around you, so be prepared.

Lola is the librarian looking after Dicks library and shares some of her favourite stories with us, whilst also defending the books from the Librosexual Book Bandit.

The show is a camp, funny, sexy romp across multiple book genres, with some incredible dance, acrobatic and singing performances by an incredible cast.

Absolutely loved our day in Kotor, Montenegro, it’s a destination that has caught my eye for a while as pictures people have shared always made it look incredible.

We had a gorgeous sail into port, and anchored just off the coast near the walled old down.

The nearby city offered loads of side streets to explore, but the highlight for sure had to be the Ladder of Kotor. We happened upon it as you do, and paid around €6 each to access the trail up the mountain overlooking the city.

I’ll be honest, I had to tap out half way, as my knees weren’t up for the climb, but we did have amazing views of the valley from the half way point where there was small church masquerading as a shop, or the other way, I’m really not sure.

Take a look around a Sea Terrace Cabin onboard @virginvoyages Resilient Lady.

Virgin Lady Ship are mainly made up of Sea Terrace (Balcony Cabins). They include my personal favourite feature, which is that amazing hammock on the balcony, perfect for relaxing and watching the ocean sail by.

Resilient Lady is sailing from Athens all summer, on two different itinaraies, one around the Greek Isles, visting Rhodes, Santorini and Bodrum, with an overnight in Mykonos, and the other sailing the Adriatic, visting Split, Kotor and Corfu with a late departure from Dubrovnik.

Wow, what can I say about Dubrovnik.
such a wonderful city, with so much to see and do.

Thankfully Virgin dock into port till 10pm giving you ample time to make the most of the city and nearby area.

We opted to free explore the city and it’s walls, and had a wonderful time finding the famous locations from Game of Thrones, stopping for Coffee and watching the hustle and bustle, viewing menus from the wide choice of restaurants, each more tempting than the last.

If you want to walk the city walls, and enter the museums there is a day pass for €35 each, we opted not to, but other sailors said it was worth the money. One for next time I guess.

There’s a really cool bar located at the top of the old town, but literally built into the city walls.

You pass through a gate and walk down the side of the town walls to find a bar on the side of the city with people jumping into the water and swimming nearby.

There are frequent board trips to nearby islands and attractions, offering you the chance to see the Old Town from afar, and go beyond the immediate area for a reasonable price.

First ever visit to Split, Croatia, and wow! She’s a beautiful city.

We only had a short walk from the cruise terminal to the heart of the city where we were welcomed with a myriad of options to dine, shop, or grab a coffee and watch the world go by.

We headed to Split Cathedral and paid €15 to have access to 5 areas exclusive to those with tickets.

The highlight has to be the climb up to the top of the bell tower. Certainly not for those with a fear of heights, but I managed OK despite.

Offering amazing views once at the top, it was totally worth braving my fears.

We then explored a bit more of the city, taking in the local park, and nearby local food market.

It’s such a fantastic city to visit, and such an easy one to get around and explore.

We’ve never been before, so looking forward to getting off the ship and exploring the nearby port.

We haven’t planned any excursions or activities, we rarely plan ahead as we prefer to let the port unveil itself to us.

We’re onboard!!! 🧜🏻‍♀️

This week we will be sailing on Resilient Lady, the newest ship to join the Virgin Voyages fleet!

Last week was her MerMaiden voyages, where she sailed the Greek Islands from Athens.

This week is her MerMaiden Adriatic and Greek Gems voyage, and we’re so excited to get onboard, sample what’s new for Resilient Lady, and what’s new to Virgin Voyages.

We are visiting ports we’ve never been to before, including Dubrovnik, Split, Corfu and Kotor.

I’ll be updating our stories all week, and sharing details here as we go along, so keep an eye on the page and our Instagram.

This is our 6th Voyage with Virgin, and they get better each time. They really are listening to feedback and making subtle and small changes to the offering, improving on what was already a fantastic way to cruise.

If you’ve always wanted to try a cruise, but think they maybe too old and stuffy for you, Virgin is without a doubt, the line for you.

Best of all, have I mentioned, they are Adult Only! No kids clubs, no kids full stop.

Meaning the entertainment is geared for adults, the food is geared for adults, and the whole ship is for adults, not just half of one deck.

We’re Virgin Voyages specialists, we’ve helped so many sailors set sail the Virgin Way, so if you are interested, we’d love to help.

Just next week please… we’re taking some time off this week to detox and retox.

We’re on our way to Amsterdam.

It’s always amazing when we can get to our cruises from @bristolairport makes it so much easier for us.

We are joining @celebritycruises Apex for three nights on their Seminar at Sea, a chance for Travel Agents to get first hand experience of their ships, and the Celebrity brands.

I’m super excited that we are getting the chance to sail onboard an Edge series ship, and really looking forward to an immersive few days.

Whilst we were in Miami, we had the chance to visit the beautiful @moxysouthbeach

This hotel has caught my eye a few times when building itineraries for customers, so it was wonderful to visit and see if first hand.

It’s a gorgeous hotel in the heart of south beach, so perfect for those who are planning to stay pre or post a cruise when departing from Miami.

Its loaded with character, and full embraces that Miami design aesthetic.

It’s has a beautiful roof top pool and chill out space, as well as a larger pool that has a viewing window into the lobby!

Rooms are certainly cozy, but packed with amenities and gorgeous decor.

We were invited for a meal at the in house restaurant/bar, which was loaded with character. It’s an outdoor space with a retractable roof, so perfect for dining alfresco in the Miami weather.

One of the highlights when sailing with @virginvoy

One of the highlights when sailing with @virginvoyages from Barcelona is that it includes an overnight in Ibiza.

The ship arrives around 7pm, leaving you free to enjoy the nighlight if the island, or enjoy the ship, but then head off to the many beach clubs the next day.

Do you want to live out your very own Star Wars adventure? You can do that at Galaxys Edge at at both Disneyland California and Walt Disney World Florida.
Theres a while land dedicated to Star Wars, with characters walking around, two incredible attractions, one where you can fly the Millenium Falcon, and anther where you have to escape from the First Order.
My perosnal highlight has to be Ogas Cantina, a cocktial bar that serves some amazing drinks, has an fantastic atomosphere and the DJ used to be thr pilot from Star Tours, but crashed on the planet and now works as a DJ, such a fun detail.

We visited @superblue.art in Miami after our cruis

We visited @superblue.art in Miami after our cruise and before our flight. Its a really cool art exhibit that features interactive digital art.

My favourite was the light installation that capture the heartbeat of the last 1000 people who went into the exhibit and turned your heartbeat into a pulsing lightbulb.

On out last day in Miami we visited @superblue.art a really cool art installation/exhibit that uses modern technology to create some wonderful immersive experiences.

One of the exhibits was a room full of projections that reacted when you touched the walls. Where you got to witness the lifecycle of a Sunflower, to seeing flowers bloom from where you walked and touched.

The next area was a breathtaking price made from thousands of lightbulbs that contained the heartbeat of people who had visited. You were able to add your heartbeat to the exhibit also, and see it pulse with your very own heartbeat.

The next exhibit we were unable to film in, but played with the perception of light and colour, and how they interact with space, you had to see it to believe it, but it was a very effective experience.

Last was a walkthrough maze designed to recreate the very breath we take as it passes through our lungs.

It was such a cool experience, and offered plenty of opportunities for some great photos.

The art was thoughtful and our guide did a fantastic job of explaining each piece as we were led around.
