Head to Central Florida during autumn for all the fantastic fall and Halloween events happening across central Florida, and you will still be greeted by sunshine and balmy temperatures. A stay during September and October is the ideal time of the year to enjoy all the major theme parks in the slightly cooler autumn months. LEGOLAND Florida Resort’s Brick-or-Treat Monster Party
Little ones can enjoy safe, neighbourhood-style trick-or-treating along six fantastically themed trick-or-treating locations, and there are plenty of sweet treats along the way! The events occur on September 24th and 25th and on select dates throughout October this year. There are also new spook-tastic shows to enjoy, including the interactive V.I.M. Dance Party hosted by Lord Vampire and The UnbeLEAFable Halloween Nights for some musical mystery fun. Also new are The Jammin’ Jacks and the brilliant 4D movie – The Great Monster Chase.

World Water Ski Show Tournament, Winter Haven
Taking place October 19th – 23rd, the show will be the leading event for the 100th anniversary of water ski and the largest tournament to date. Water Skiers from around the world will head to the “Water Ski Capital of the World”, Winter Haven, to compete combining entertainment with world-class athletics.
On October 18th Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team will be hosting a special evening for professional skiers from around the world at the Nora Mayo Hall in Winter Haven, and tickets are available to attend the cocktail attire event –ย Get Tickets Here
For those wanting to sample water skiing themselves, head to Elite Cable Park in Auburndale or Winter Haven Watersports, where lessons are available – here, you can also go paddleboarding or rent a jet ski.
Out ‘n about exploring Polk County
Visitors can make the most of the excellent climate by heading to the great outdoors and experiencing beautiful activities. Explore Winter Haven’s chain of lakes by renting kayaks fromย Off the Chain Kayak Companyย or take an airboat ride to be immersed in the area’s wonderful nature – there are a number of good companies offering airboat rides.
Experience over 12 miles of multi-use trails atย Colt Creek State Parkย – great for horseback riding, hiking and biking, or head toย Hollis Gardenย which is home to more than 10,000 flowers and ornamental shrubs and trees as well as a kid-friendly play area.
