What is Another Rose?

Another Rose is ultimately a Dinner Show, and the latest gem in Virgin Voyages’ Supper Club series, blending fine dining with mesmerising entertainment. This unique show features a talented ensemble of performers who deliver a dynamic and interactive experience, keeping guests engaged from start to finish.

The Venue: The Manor

The Manor, the Resilient Lady’s nightclub, transforms into an intimate theatre setting for “Another Rose.” This immersive venue allows the action to unfold around you, ensuring that every seat offers a unique and captivating view of the performance.

Whether you want to be sat up close to the action, or get a birdseye view of the show by choosing to watch from the upper tiers, the performers work the whole venue, so there are no bad seats in the house.

How Much Does Another Rose Cost

There is an extra cost of $50 per person*, Sailors gain access to not only an extraordinary experience. The price also includes a Cocktail drinks reception, two cocktails with your meal, and unlimited sparkling rosé throughout the evening. Booking can be done via the Virgin Voyages app once onboard the ship and connected to the ship’s wifi.

Another Rose Seating Options

• Tier 1: Closest to the action, with opportunities for audience participation and an intimate view of the performers. Note that choosing Tier 1 will involve leaving your table at one point in the show for a private performance, and you will return to the main area with a different table configuration.
• Tier 2: Floor-level seating in the booths around the Manor, this is a happy medium between getting up close to the show, but not having to be involved in the show, or having to move around. This is our top pick.
• Tier 3: These tables are located on the upper balcony level, So you won’t be the closest to the action, but it does offer a bird’s-eye view of the spectacle below.

What is the menu for Another Rose

The dinner show features a pre-fixe menu with a choice of main courses, The menu is crafted to offer a range of flavours, from savoury starters to delectable desserts, with two cocktails between courses that are themed to the show and the story.

Welcome Cocktails and Unlimited Refills or Sparking Rose

Guests are greeted with a range of cocktails upon arrival that are help-your-self style and served from trays as the performers walk around the bar area of The Manor, setting the tone for a night of indulgence.

Throughout the show, servers generously top up glasses with sparkling rosé, keeping the celebratory atmosphere alive.

What is the show Another Rose?

Another Rose features an ensemble of talented performers who bring the show to life with stunning aerial acts, powerful vocals, and captivating choreography. The show is very intimate by its nature of taking place in The Manor, so the performers will move throughout The Manor.

Another Rose is an Interactive Experience

Audience participation is a key element of Another Rose. Guests seated in Tier 1 may find themselves becoming part of the show, adding a unique and personal touch to the performance.

But you may also be selected to be part of the show even if not sat in Tier 1, so if a member of the cast invites you to a private show, say yes, but be aware you may be asked to get on stage. Consent is always asked for, so you will not find yourself on stage unexpectedly.

What is the Story of Another Rose?

The show’s storyline, while loosely followed, revolves around themes of love, desire, and following one’s heart. There are sexual themes, tastefully expressed, but you can expect a tale of love, lust and passion.

The story takes place in a flower kingdom, with Royalty, and Evil Queen and love torn lovers. The story is told via song performances, aerial acrobatics and dance spectacles.

Note that this isn’t a story-led show, there is no narrator, the story is subtly told by the performers as they sing and dance.

Tips for Enjoying Another Rose

• Choosing the Best Seat: For those who enjoy being part of the action, Tier 1 offers the most interactive experience. Tier 2 and Tier 3 provide excellent views of the entire performance.
• Arriving Early for Cocktails: Arriving early allows guests to enjoy multiple welcome cocktails and settle into the atmosphere before the show begins.
• Dress to Impress: The elegant setting and the opportunity for audience participation make it a perfect occasion to dress up and add to the evening’s glamour.

Conclusion – Final Thoughts of Another Rose Review

Another Rose on Virgin Voyages Resilient Lady is a highlight for us, and the fact that it requires the purchase of a ticket makes it easier to enjoy than Lola’s Library as seats are limited and reserved, a blessing on popular and bust sailings.

The meal is also a highlight, with a surprisingly strong and varied menu considering this isn’t offered near a main dining room. The Tuna Bomb and Short Rib are amongst our personal favourite meals offered on the ship.

The show is also fantastic, whilst the story is perhaps a bit abstract, it’s a good thing as given the fact that you dine whilst some of the singers and dancers are performing, there is a casual element to the show to ensure it can be enjoyed as a background to your meal. There are key moments, and those happen between courses.

Cocktails and Rose top-ups are generous, making this a great value-for-money choice for those looking to maximise their drinks budget too.
