Here, the cruise director is ready to assist with any queries about included excursions. Nearby touchscreen terminals inform you about the ship’s schedule and activities, allowing you to track your onboard experiences effortlessly, which can also be done via the AvalonGo app.
The Heart of Relaxation: The Lounge
Beyond the reception area lies the ship’s heartโthe Lounge. This inviting space is your sanctuary for relaxation and downtime between port explorations. Enjoy a freshly brewed cup of tea or coffee from the nearby beverage facilities anytime.
The Lounge is also home to a well-stocked bar serving delightful cocktails. From sipping morning coffee while watching the river flow by to unwinding after a day of adventures, this space is where cherished memories and new friendships with your fellow sailors are made.
Afternoon tea service invites you to indulge in sandwiches, cakes, and refreshing drinks, adding a touch of elegance to your afternoons, especially after exploring the many beautiful ports of Europe.
Avalon Waterways Entertainment and Scenic Views
The Lounge also transforms into the evening’s entertainment venue, often hosting local guest artists to entertain you; on our sailing, we had a singer come onboard and a trio of artists whilst in Vienna.
The Lounge offers a fantastic connection to the rivers of Europe and offers picturesque views, perfectly complementing the onboard entertainment.
An outdoor seating area at the ship’s front provides a serene setting to relish your coffee or enjoy a light meal while soaking in the stunning river landscapes.
Elevating the Experience: Rooftop Deck
Venture up the stairs to the rooftop deck, which extends seamlessly from the ship’s front to the back, offering unobstructed views. Heading from the front to the back of the shop, we pass by the captain’s bridge and arrive at the Alfresco dining areaโan ideal spot to relish delicious barbecues and breathtaking vistas.
As you continue along the deck, you’ll encounter the main rooftop area, housing bikes for onshore explorations; you can bike along the riverbanks as the ship also sails ahead or join the fitness activities manager for a bike tour whilst docked in port.
An inviting hot tub and plush sun lounges provide the perfect ingredients for a relaxing day while navigating Europe’s waterways.
A Relaxing Hideaway: The Club Lounge
Arriving at the ship’s rear and heading down a deck leads you to the Club Lounge.
This intimate venue allows you to enjoy panoramic views while comfortably seated indoors. It’s an ideal retreat for quiet moments, offering an array of books and board games. Indulge in snacks and beverages throughout the day, including refreshing flavoured drinks, tea, coffee and pastries.
Staying Active: Fitness and Wellness
The ship’s gym awaits on a lower deck for those seeking an active lifestyle. Though compact, it provides ample equipment for maintaining your fitness routine. A fitness coordinator onboard often hosts walking and bike tours, Yoga and other fitness activities.
